The course is designed with case studies. Taipei Medical University in collaboration with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), will introduce Taiwans’ examples of biomedicine. This five-week course will help you gain an in-depth understanding of the international trends in the development of precision medicine.


You’ll discuss the role of cross-industry cooperation to provide integrated and value-added services in the existing medical industry.


Next, you’ll explore the integration of technology, such as AI, to understand the future of precision medicine and healthcare.


Delve into the biomedical and healthcare industries


You’ll gain an overview of Taiwan’s biomedical industry, exploring the development of its healthcare and its advantages.


With this knowledge, you’ll unpack the role of multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation in smart healthcare. This understanding will also help you investigate what a global strategy on digital health could look like, as well as global healthcare.


Unpack the importance of healthcare technologies


In an ageing population, it is important to understand the elderly and a super-aged society.


On the course, you’ll delve into the typical healthcare issues that older people face and the technologies, such as regenerative medicine, that can help us respond to these issues and improve quality of life.


Gain an understanding of targeted therapy


Finally, you’ll unpack the trends and technology of targeted therapy. You’ll gain an understanding of what it is and how it can be used to treat specific healthcare issues such as cancer and glaucoma.

  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers. 

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.
