Gain the first solid footing on the Chinese learning journey, achieving HSK 1
On this interactive five-week course from Chinese Plus, you’ll build a solid foundation of the Chinese language to use in everyday situations.
You’ll start by developing your phonetic knowledge of Chinese before exploring a variety of topics to help you understand and communicate in different contexts.
Through engaging videos and content, you’ll explore the Chinese phonetic system (pinyin). This system will help you overcome the challenges of connecting the written Chinese characters with their corresponding sounds, so you can master your pronunciation alongside your language learning.
Discover useful Chinese phrases and greetings
As you explore different language points, you’ll learn everyday phrases to help you communicate useful information.
You’ll learn greetings and how to introduce yourself with your name, age, and nationality.
To share more personal information and build better relationships, you’ll also discover how to talk about your family and profession.
Explore basic Chinese writing
To further help you communicate in Chinese, you’ll develop a good understanding of the Chinese writing system. This includes basic strokes and writing sequences of Chinese characters.
Discover Chinese culture
As part of developing your understanding of the Chinese language, you’ll explore the contemporary culture and life in China.
You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with native speakers to communicate in common everyday situations.
Throughout the course, you’ll be guided by the experts at Chinese Plus, a leading educational organisation. Learning from qualified and experienced teachers, this course follow the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) curriculum and help you prepare for the HSK level 1 test.
This course is designed for anyone who would like to develop their basic knowledge of Chinese.
You don’t need any prior experience or knowledge. This course will help you develop your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Chinese.
It will be particularly useful if you are going to take the HSK level 1 test.

Not engage in any activity that would dishonestly improve my results, or improve or hurt the results of others.

Not post answers to problems that are being used to assess student performance.

Abide by any and all requirements of the eLearnAfrica Participants as may regard the expectations of civil or academic behavior or of community standards.
VIOLATIONS
If you are found in violation of the Terms and Conditions or Honor Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;

Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;

Being unenrolled from a course, learning program or degree program; or

Termination of your use of the App and/or Site.

Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers.
No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.
Honor code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica, the Partners, or Members. You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this honor code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
