Explore types of ecosystems in fashion


From garment production through to sales, the fashion industry is made up of different ecosystems that are complex and multifaceted.


On this three-week course, you’ll explore these systems to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and the many areas that need to make sustainable changes.


With this knowledge, you’ll gain a holistic view of the fashion industry, as you analyse the social, economic, and environmental issues within it.


Understand human impacts on the environment


To gain a broad perspective of the environmental crisis, you’ll delve into the human impact on the biosphere before exploring how this relates to the fashion industry.


With this knowledge, you’ll explore emergent alternatives to current unsustainable practices to understand how we can move from our existing fashion ecosystem to a better model.


Discover sustainability in fashion and how to change the industry


To help promote change, you’ll focus on a radical rethinking of the fashion industry and what a sustainable future will look like in fashion.


You’ll explore possible alternatives that could boost biodiversity, support communities, and clean up pollution.


Gain specialist knowledge from Parsons School of Design


The course is led by experts from Parsons School of Design - giving you insights from those who truly know the fashion industry, its practices, and sustainable solutions.


By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to not only envision a sustainable future for fashion but to act upon it too.


This course is for anyone interested in fashion and moving toward a more sustainable model.

VIOLATIONS

If you are found in violation of the Terms and Conditions or Honor Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

  • Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;

  • Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;

  • Being unenrolled from a course, learning program or degree program; or

  • Termination of your use of the App and/or Site.

  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers. 

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.

Honor code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica, the Partners, or Members. You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this honor code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
