This four-week course from The University of Adelaide will arm you with that strategy and equip you with essential entrepreneurial skills to successfully launch your business idea.


Guided by industry experts, you’ll learn how to effectively identify your competition, conduct consumer research, and build your network. With this knowledge, you’ll have the tools to start, run, and grow your new business.


Identify your customer needs by creating a customer persona


Understanding your customers is crucial for any business.


On the course, you’ll learn how to create a detailed profile of your ideal customer by developing a customer persona. This will help you understand what your customer needs, what motivates them, and what pain points they have.


With this understanding, you’ll learn how to identify your unique selling point and offer value – helping you connect with your customers better and stand out from the competition.


Discover the importance of business networking


Next, you’ll discover tips to build and maintain your business network.


Within this, you’ll unpack the importance of branding and pitching as you learn the strategies for building brand awareness.


Master the fundamentals of business planning


Finally, you’ll learn how to make a business plan that includes strategies for learning and developing your team’s skills.


You’ll discover how continuous learning and development is key in creating a skills-based organisation as you learn how to evaluate your team’s ability and find gaps.


By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid strategy to follow to turn your business idea into a reality.

  • Complete all tests and assignments on my own, unless collaboration on an assignment is explicitly permitted.

  • Maintain only one user account and not let anyone else use my username and/or password.

  • Not engage in any activity that would dishonestly improve my results, or improve or hurt the results of others.

  • Not post answers to problems that are being used to assess student performance.

  • Abide by any and all requirements of the eLearnAfrica Participants as may regard the expectations of civil or academic behavior or of community standards.

VIOLATIONS

If you are found in violation of the Terms and Conditions or Honor Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

  • Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;

  • Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;

  • Being unenrolled from a course, learning program or degree program; or

  • Termination of your use of the App and/or Site.

  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers. 

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.

Honor code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica, the Partners, or Members. You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this honor code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
