El programa PEAK fue diseñado por destacados fisioterapeutas de la Universidad de Melbourne basado en evidencia científica. En este curso, guiamos a los fisioterapeutas sobre cómo implementar la atención de mejores prácticas para personas con artrosis de rodilla, brindada a través de consultas individuales, por videoconferencia (usando la plataforma Zoom) o durante consultas cara a cara, en persona.


El programa PEAK se enfoca en el empoderamiento del paciente a través de la educación, la prescripción de un programa de ejercicios de fortalecimiento y un plan de actividad física, individualizado según las necesidades del paciente, y el uso de equipos de ejercicio mínimos (ej., bandas elásticas de resistencia y/o peso corporal) para permitir que los pacientes realicen ejercicio de forma independiente en casa.


Muchos de los principios y conceptos son aplicables a otras afecciones musculoesqueléticas comunes y a otras plataformas de videoconferencia de telesalud. Es importante destacar que se proporciona un conjunto de recursos útiles para el paciente (que incluyen un folleto de preparación para la consulta de Zoom, un folleto de ejercicios, un folleto de información sobre artrosis, un plan de rodilla y un libro de registro) para que los fisioterapeutas puedan imprimirlos/descargarlos o usarlos con sus pacientes en su entorno clínico.

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.
