Learn about liveability and how it is measured


This course will help you recognise the importance of creating a more liveable city. Together we will view the impact of liveability on the health and well-being of a city’s residents, the impact urban planning has on liveability, and how the fourth wave of industrialisation is impacting liveability.


So, why is Melbourne consistently ranked as one of the most liveable cities in the world? What is it about Melbourne that is different?


Factors such as access to education and healthcare, quality of public transport, accessibility and cultural events all factor in to ranking and reviewing cities. We explore these elements, the ways in which they are measured, and what those measures tell us about modern cities.


Through this course you will be enabled as an urban planner, citizen, business owner or politician to take learnings from Melbourne and make your city even better!


This short course has been developed for urban planners, government employees, policy advisors and anyone else interested in understanding what makes Melbourne a liveable city.


To take part in this course, you’ll need a reliable internet connection and 60 minutes per week.

VIOLATIONS

If you are found in violation of the Terms and Conditions or Honor Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

  • Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;

  • Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;

  • Being unenrolled from a course, learning program or degree program; or

  • Termination of your use of the App and/or Site.

  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers. 

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.

Honor code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica, the Partners, or Members. You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this honor code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
