Delve into the history of domestic and international extremism


In the wake of the insurrection in the U.S. Capitol, the rising issue of extremist views has become a conversation across the globe, specifically about countering violent extremism.


On this two-week Teach-Out, you’ll learn about the history of global extremism, how it has become more mainstream, and the ways we can address the issue.


How do political polarisation and social media play a part in extremism?


With online radicalisation an ever-growing threat, it’s important to understand the role that social media plays in both political polarisation and extremism.


This Teach-Out will also help you better understand the psychology of extremism and what drives people to develop extremist views.


Develop action strategies for combating extremism


By completing this Teach-Out, you’ll look at ways you can take action in your own life, how to counter extremism in your own community, and strategies for addressing extremist views with friends and family.

VIOLATIONS

If you are found in violation of the Terms and Conditions or Honor Code, you may be subject to one or more of the following actions:

  • Receiving a zero or no credit for an assignment;

  • Having any certificate earned in the course withheld or revoked;

  • Being unenrolled from a course, learning program or degree program; or

  • Termination of your use of the App and/or Site.

  • Additional actions may be taken at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica and eLearnAfrica course providers. 

No refunds will be issued in the case of any corrective action for such violations.

Honor code violations will be determined at the sole discretion of eLearnAfrica, the Partners, or Members. You will be notified if a determination has been made that you have violated this honor code and you will be informed of the corresponding action to be taken as a result of the violation.
