The École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC, The National School for Civil Aviation) is the only aviation-oriented university in France offering such a wide and complete panel of aeronautics-oriented training programs and activities, serving the aeronautical world, and particularly the air transport sector.
ENAC’s expertise, diversity and the complementary nature of its programs make it the number one aeronautical university in Europe. The main campus is based in Toulouse, in southern France, the centre of European aeronautics and space industries. Our main fields of expertise cover topics such as Communication and navigation systems, Embedded systems and UAVs, System engineering, Air transport economics, Human factors and Man machine interface, Air traffic management, Air transport techniques, Flight safety, and Aviation security.
ENAC welcomes 3,000 students each year in 30 initial training programs, ranging from Bachelor to PhD. ENAC is also a leader in continuing and executive training, with more than 400 training sessions each year and more than 6,000 trainees.
ENAC is also a research leader, with more than 200 researchers shaping tomorrow’s air transport industry. Integrating drones into air traffic, creating fully operational electric aircrafts and helicopters, improving flight safety, designing 4D displays of flight paths, designing the airport and cockpit of the future, improving air transport cybersecurity and Big Data management. These are just few examples of ENAC’s research interests.
Thanks to its academic and industrial partnerships, ENAC also operates across five continents, and can rely on a network of 50,000 alumni worldwide, among which include top executives of key organisations such as aviation authorities, airlines, aircraft manufacturers, and international airports.
Finally, ENAC is the only school in the world to have signed agreements with all of the following institutions: ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation), as an Excellence Regional Centre, EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), as an EASA Virtual Academy, IATA (International Air Transport Association) and ACI (Airports Council International) for joint training development.
